Course Description

Springboard's Cybersecurity Career Track is aimed at people considering a career transition to Cybersecurity. We guarantee that participants have a job offer within 6 months of graduating and receiving CompTIA Security+ certification, or they can get 100% of their tuition refunded. Participants will learn in-demand skills and work directly with a personal mentor, an expert cybersecurity professional currently working in the industry. They will complete 30+ technical labs, 30+ mini-projects, and one capstone project to showcase their skills to employers. Springboard's Cyber Security course incorporates preparation materials, developed with CompTIA, for taking the Security+ certification exam.

Learning Objectives

This 360-hour bootcamp is designed to train participants on job-ready cybersecurity analysis skills, including the core mindset, tools, and best practices. This course covers cybersecurity fundamentals, systems and network security, vulnerability assessment, and security operations. By studying 15-20 hours per week, participants should complete the course in 6 months. Course units include learning resources, practice exercises, practical labs, mock-exams for Security+ certification, and career-related coursework. While working on projects, participants will practice on real-world scenarios, build and share a custom cybersecurity range, craft and deploy malware using a Remote Access Trojan (RAT), and formalize Incident Response Procedures, Forensics, and Forensic Analysis By the end of the course, participants will have the complete cybersecurity skillset to succeed on a Network and Information Security team.
