Course Description

Data governance helps to ensure data usability, integrity, and security. In this 16-video course, discover how to implement and manage data governance in Microsoft 365, as you prepare for the MS-101: Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security exam. Key concepts covered here include how to import PST files into Office 365; enabling archive mailboxes for users; and how retention policies work with content in place. Next, you will learn how to retain content for a specific period of time; understand the principles of retention and describe how policies are applied to content; and set up a retention policy and learn what you can do with retention labels. Then, learners begin to compare how retention labels work with label policies; become familiar with the relationship between event types, labels, events, and asset IDs; and receive an overview of the file plan manager. You will learn the purpose of inactive mailboxes; learn how to recover and restore an inactive mailbox; and learn to view data governance reports.
