Course Description

In this course, learners discover how to evaluate requirements and solutions for synchronization, identity management, and authentication when planning an identity strategy. This 12-video course can be used to prepare for the MS-100 Microsoft 365 Identity and Services certification exam. Begin with a demonstration of how to use the idFix tool to address possible synchronization errors, and explore the objects and attributes that are excluded when using this tool, as well as how to examine the transaction logs after a scan. Then, you will explore Azure AD Connect and learn how to determine identity requirements for hybrid identity solutions. Next, you will learn about password hash synchronization and when to use it. Learners will take a closer look at the pass-through authentication method of implementing hybrid identities, then look at another solution for implementing a hybrid identity solution, which is to implement federation with Azure Active Directory. You will learn about the features and architecture of the Azure AD Connect Synchronization process, and finally, the benefits of health monitoring.
