Course Description

To ensure that devices continue to run smoothly and securely, Windows 10 periodically checks for updates and security features and installs them automatically. In this 14-video course, learners can explore BranchCache, express delivery updates, servicing strategies, and update types for business. Also covered are Windows as a Service (WaaS), servicing tools, deployment rings, and update compliance, all in preparation for MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops certification exam. Begin by looking at configuring optimization settings in Group Policy and configuring clients and servers for BranchCache. Learn how express update delivery works and how to prepare a servicing strategy for Windows 10 updates. Study available Windows Update for Business updates, and how to configure Windows Update for Business settings by using Group Policy. Learn how to integrate Windows Update for Business with management solutions; explore WaaS, including building, deploying, and servicing; and look at servicing tools. Build deployment rings for Windows 10 updates; use Update Compliance to monitor Windows 10 updates, and recognize Update Compliance Perspectives including states. The concluding exercise involves working with Windows 10 updates.
