In this challenge, you will configure an Amazon EventBridge rule that will send an email when an Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute (Amazon EC2) instance shuts down. First, you will verify that the EC2 instance is running, and then you will subscribe to an Amazon Simple Notification Service (Amazon SNS) topic. Next, you will create an Amazon EventBridge rule to monitor the status of the EC2 instance and generate a notification when the instance is stopped. Finally, you will simulate a failure of the EC2 instance, and then you will verify that you received an email notification. Note: Once you begin the challenge lab, you will not be able to pause, save, or exit and then return to your challenge lab. Please ensure that you have set aside enough time to complete the challenge lab before you start.
