Course Description

In this 13-video course, learners discover how to align organizational activities with a strategic goal of adding value to customers through value-based management. Explore key value drivers and the role of the Value Manager and Value Management Office (VMO), along with several other topics. Begin by learning the importance of value in business strategy, and also basic concepts of value-based management. Examine the growth, efficiency, and financial value types that drive value-based management; recognize value drivers for a value-based organization, and processes involved in value-based management. Discover how value analysis and value engineering differ, but work together to build a value-based organization. Examine tools and techniques for assessing stakeholder value. Learn about ethical leadership and how making sound, ethical business decisions adds value, and how managing a multicultural, diverse team adds value for internal stakeholders or an organization. Explore aligning projects to organizational goals to deliver product requirements, benefits and value, and finally, learn how the performance-based earned value (PBEV) tool is used to evaluate effectiveness of value-based management.
