Discover how to frame the strategic vision for an organization and align organizational activities to achieve defined strategic goals in this 13-video course. Examine how to align objectives with goals, make the strategic plan effective, and revise and improve the plan. Key concepts covered here include terms associated with organizational business strategy and commonly used approaches to establish goals; the process involved in defining strategic goals and aligning organizational activities to achieve set goals; and guidelines to follow while performing a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis on an organization's current business environment. Learn how to establish vision and mission statements; learn best practices involved in establishing SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely) business objectives and the importance of aligning it to organizational strategic goals; and learn key considerations to keep in mind when drafting strategic plans to meet defined strategic goals. Finally, learn how key performance indicators can help monitor and evaluate effectiveness of strategic plans in meeting set strategic goals; and learn guidelines to adopt for an effective strategic plan.
