Course Description

This course examines the core concepts of information technology and its rapidly expanding role in solving problems, influencing decision making and implementing organizational change. Students will be introduced to an array of emerging information technologies at various levels of maturity.

Learning Objectives

  • Students analyze how emerging information technologies evolve.
  • Evaluation of the international, political, social, economic and cultural impacts of emerging information technologies using qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods.
  • Students assess emerging information technologies using forecasting methodologies such as monitoring and expert opinion, examining future trends, and assessing international perspectives.
