Course Description

This course examines the information security certification and accreditation principles leading to final Approval to Operate (ATO) an information system.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss roles, responsibilities, documentation, organizational structure, directives, and reporting to support the Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA).
  • Overview of DOD and Federal agency certification and accreditation (e.g., Defense Information Assurance Accreditation Process NIST), IA acquisition management, and system security architecture.
