Course Description

This certification is next step above A+ and Network+ and is part of the DOD 8570 compliance standard. This national standard states that anyone who will work on a DOD or DOD contractor network is REQUIRED to hold this certification. The CompTIA Security+ training works to develop an understanding of network administration by gaining certifiable knowledge of the Security+ objectives. Students learn how to secure and manage all facets of the network from CPU cycles to software used by individuals or across a network. Security+ is the next level (after A+ and Network+) to attain certification for every IT network administrator. This course will prepare the student to pass the CompTIA Security+® certification exam SY0-401 and begin their career into network administration. Security+ certified employees earn 9% more than Network+ certified employees.

Included: Security+ courseware with approximately 19 hours of instructive video, interactive labs, pre-tests/post-tests, adaptive test prep program and online student workbook. Students will also have access to virtual machine simulators and Security+ textbooks. One exam voucher for the SY0-401 exam. We will also include our education coaching.
