No prerequisites are required to participate; however, a basic understanding of security fundamentals such as firewalls, secure development, encryption, and identity and access management is recommended.
To qualify for CCSP certification, you must have at least 5 years of professional experience in the IT field, three of which must be in IT security, and one must include experience in one of the six CCSP domains (the CCSK can substitute for that one year). Should you not meet the criteria, you can become an Associate of ISC2 by passing the exam and then accumulate the required experience.
