Course Description

Students will learn how to maintain security in the workplace. Security plans will be created based on, but not limited to, ten key security technologies: access control, network security, management security procedures, systems development security, cryptography, security models, operations security, disaster recover, laws and ethics, and physical security.

Learning Objectives

Use the Internet to research security issues.
Explain how security technology is essential to business operations.
Demonstrate how and where to implement security technology.
Examine each of the key areas of security technology.
Write a security implementation plan.
Select the appropriate security technology based on different needs.
Configure leading security software products.
Resolve security vulnerabilities.
Adhere to professional information technology procedures.
