Course Description

This program is specifically designed to prepare students already in the Information Technology and/or Network Administration workforce/military as Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals, NSTISSI No. 4011and CNSSI No. 4016 Entry Level Risk Analysts or provide current Information Systems professionals with an Information Systems security certification. The overall program is DOD 8570 compliant. Upon completion of this program students will receive a certification of completion for INFOSEC 4011 & 4016-E from the National Security Agency & includes taking the CompTIA Security+ exam.

Learning Objectives

Students are capable of plan, analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and enhancing IS security programs, policies, procedures, and tools to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability of systems, networks, & data. Obtain knowledge to implement higher-level security requirements; integrate security programs across disciplines; define security plans & policies; assess new system design methodologies to improve software quality; & institute measures to ensure awareness/compliance. Knowledge to assess security technologies/threats & recommend changes; review & know incident response policies; & develop long-range plans.
