Course Description

This course addresses security architecture and engineering skills needed to secure in-house, cloud-centric and hybrid IT environments. Topics include assessing organizations’ cybersecurity readiness, and technical-team leadership needed to implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity solutions. Students apply best practices in governance, risk management and compliance to design and implement solutions within adopted policies and frameworks and ensure organizations’ readiness for cyberattacks.

Learning Objectives

  • Students learn to implement cryptographic solutions, leverage network components, concepts, and architectures to meet security requirements, describe security controls for cloud computing and host devices, describe security controls for applications, implement risk management strategies and security policies, explain the importance of research, integration, and collaboration to achieve security goals, demonstrate advanced-level security skills and knowledge.
