The SSCP training course prepares students to:
1. Demonstrate access controls concepts and attack methods used to defeat access control systems;
2. Demonstrate the knowledge in security operations and administration including the responsibilities, policies, standards, guidelines, procedures and security awareness;
3. Demonstrate knowledge in the various methods of data collection, including data collection, data logging, sampling and reporting and compliance check techniques;
4. Understand how to prepare a business continuity or disaster recovery plan;
5. Understand the basic concepts of cryptography including public and private key algorithms, key distribution and management, digital signatures, and public key infrastructure and certification;
6. Understand communications and network security as it relates to data and telecommunications in local area and wide area networks; and
7. Understand the concepts of malicious and mobile code, code threats, and various protection and recovery methods.
