Course Description

This workshop is designed for acquisition personnel requiring intermediate-level knowledge of program protection and system security engineering (SSE). Participants are expected to have knowledge of the DoD’s systems engineering management processes and application of systems engineering across the system development life cycle. This workshop will instruct students on program protection and how to develop the elements included in a Program Protection Plan (PPP), to include its tables and sections. Follow-on, tailorable workshops are available on request.

Learning Objectives

The objective of this workshop includes the ability to: Develop key elements of a program protection analysis on an acquisition representative system. Summarize the fundamentals of Program Protection. Conduct Critical Program Information analysis on a DoD system in the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Conduct Critical Function/Critical Component analysis on a DoD system in the SDLC. Conduct information protection analysis on a DoD system in the SDLC. Explain the incorporation of PP analysis and other information to create the Program Protection Plan (PPP) IAW OSD guidance. Develop key tables and sections for a PPP.
